Troubleshooting tips

My Gelati are plugged in to my amplifier but I’m not getting any sound.
Check the speaker cable connections at both ends and make sure that the exposed copper wires are making contact with the terminals, and that there are no loose bits of speaker wire protruding from the ends. If the connections look good and you’re not getting any sound at all, we’d suggest consulting your amplifier’s manual.

My Gelati are playing music, but it sounds like some of the music is missing or sounds unusual.
Double check that you have the red and black terminals matching up with both ends of your speaker cables. If you have a red running to a black, your music won’t sound right. It won’t damage the speaker, but it’ll reverse the phase of your speakers, which you want to avoid.

I can hear music, but the sound is fuzzy or distorted.
This one can be difficult to diagnose. There could be damage to your speaker, or it might be a problem with your amplifier. Best to get in touch with us at support@encel.com.au in this instance.
